The Brave New Girls anthologies, edited by sci-fi authors Paige Daniels and Mary Fan, feature young adult science fiction tales about teen girls with a knack for science, tech, engineering and math... hackers, mechanics, inventors, and more! Each story features an illustration. Proceeds from sales will be donated annually to the Society of Women Engineers scholarship fund. The anthologies are available on all major online retailers in both e-book and paperback formats.
PAIGE DANIELS is a Mexican American author based in Indiana. By day she works as an electrical engineer and mom. After the kids go to bed, she rocks out with her headphones turned to eleven and cranks out books. She is an uber science geek. If she wasn't married to the most terrific guy in the world, she would be a groupie for Adam Baldwin.
Her books include the Non-Compliance series (cyberpunk / dystopia), the Singularity Wars series (space adventure), and the Agents of Consortium series (space Western). Her short fiction has appeared in anthologies such as Thrilling Adventure Yarns (ed. Robert Greenberger), Love, Murder & Mayhem (ed. Russ Colchamiro), and Felinity (as Tina Closser, ed. Sammy HK Smith).
MARY FAN is a Chinese American author based in New Jersey. Her books include the Jane Colt trilogy (space adventure), Starswept trilogy (YA sci-fi romance / dystopia), the Flynn Nightsider series (YA dark fantasy), the Fated Stars series (YA high fantasy), and Stronger Than a Bronze Dragon (YA steampunk fantasy). Her short fiction has appeared in numerous anthologies, including Mine! (pub. ComicMix), Thrilling Adventure Yarns (ed. Robert Greenberger), Phenomenons (ed. Michael Jan Friedman), and Magic at Midnight (ed. Lyssa Chiavari and Amy McNulty). She is also the editor of Bad Ass Moms, an anthology from Crazy 8 Press.
When she's not writing, she can usually be found swinging from a flying trapeze, tangled up in aerial silks, smashing heavy bags at the kickboxing gym, or singing alto in choir practice.
